NashvilleVoyager Interviews HT4U's Shelia Horvath

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelia Horvath.

Hi Shelia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
As a stay-at-home mom in 2007, I provided gift baskets for our pastoral team and visiting ministers in our local church in Plano Texas. A hotel requested that I start working with them to provide amenity gifts for their guests. HeavenlyTreats4U was created!

After a couple of family relocations, we arrived in Nashville in 2014. I wanted to take a little time to get acquainted with the area before restarting the business, however, I had clients & friends calling to see when I was going to be creating their gifts for them! Our local church and real estate friends were persistent in getting us to provide gifts so in 2015 we established the business in Nashville, and it’s been an amazing ride ever since! We fell in love with Nashville’s culture and music, so it was easy to incorporate this in our gifting! Thus, the signature line of our Guitar Cases was born!

We have provided guitar gifts for corporate events, hotels, conventions, and the Nashville Speedway, just to name a few! We even launched our “Follow The Nashville Guitar Case ”journey of bringing our Signature Guitar Case on all of our travels and adventures and meeting new clients! Make sure to check out where we’ve been lately by following the hashtags #FollowTheNashvilleGuitar and #FollowTheGuitarCase!

By providing an exceptional gifting experience, referrals, and word of mouth we had quickly grown and needed to move out of our home studio. In 2021 we purchased an iconic farmhouse in Smyrna TN, The Victory House. We knew that the farmhouse was perfect for a retail market, so in 2022 we opened The Market at Victory House. We have an online presence with HeavenlyTreats4U as well as a brick-and-mortar for those who like to shop in a boutique setting!

The Market at Victory House has also become a fun spot for us to host community events including workshops and classes that give people more of an experience when shopping all our great gifts and local items such as help designing their gift baskets, building a charcuterie board with our gourmet snacks and crafting holiday wreaths!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an entrepreneur has its challenges, I didn’t have any idea how to run a business when I first started. After the relocation to the Memphis area and then to Nashville, I knew this would in essence be starting the business for the 3rd time.

I learned quickly after the first 2 times that I needed to do things more efficiently. I began putting in processes to ensure our product was consistent, such as creating a bow or a design that could be replicated repeatedly. Throughout this process, I was creating a brand! Our clients know our designs and will tell us that when they see our gifts at events they immediately know it’s a design from HeavenlyTreats4U.

When scaling a business, you quickly learn that what once was your baby (idea or hobby) now needs to grow. With this growth, you need more space, more staff, and more processes! Space and staff have been the most challenging! Getting out of our home was a huge hurdle but I’m so thankful we decided to open The Market at Victory House!

Staffing and training are challenging when the entrepreneur has everything stored in their mind, I’ve had to learn to delegate and try to verbalize more of the vision I have when designing!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a creative, I want each gift to be an expression of the sender as well as a gift that leaves a lasting impression on the recipient. I enjoy working with clients to bring their ideas or brands to gifting. Some of the ways we do this are with customized printed ribbons and note cards, branded swag, and customized boxes.

My team ensures that as we build every order, whether it’s 20 gifts or 1000 gifts, we are creating a gift that the client will be proud to give. From creation to delivery, we strive to take the stress out of gifting for our clients!

This is one 5-star review from our clients: HT4U was great to work with for our 2022 holiday gift baskets. As a new customer, Shelia worked us into the busiest season and brought great ideas that portray Nashville’s personality. Our customers loved the Music City guitar case gift baskets. A lasting impression.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love living in a city that is rich in the music culture and the friendliness of the area. This is what I noticed from the moment we arrived, everyone that I met was friendly and helpful. Being from Texas, this was what I had missed the most when we moved. It was refreshing!! I love exploring all of the small towns surrounding Nashville!

Nashville traffic can be a challenge when out making deliveries, especially downtown with all the growth of the area. However, coming from the Dallas/Ft. Worth, we were used to this.
